The St. Mary’s County Amateur Radio Association has been active in southern Maryland for over 60 years. We maintain a club station K3HKI at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum & Visitors Center and have monthly meetings at the museum or on Zoom. Most of our club communication and notifications are done using the Groups.io platform. SMCARA.groups.io is our official sections were we also have a few subgroups. Please check our calendar at SMCARA.groups.io to see where and when our next meeting will be held plus other events. We participate in ARRL sponsored events, have members who are interested in almost every aspect of amateur radio, have a weekly net, provide communication support for local events, support STEM, meet monthly for breakfast at a local restaurant and help one another with information and tackling big projects like raising towers and hanging antennas, and much more.
